It's HEAVY! I know the DSLR guys always say that they're come to Leica to escape the weight and bulk, but from a NEX/point-and-shooter upgrader like me, this thing is bigger than I'm used to, and I don't think I would want to wear it around my neck for very long. Good thing a Thumbs-Up and a Gordy's wrist strap is included.
You'll noticed the camera has some brassing on the top plate, which doesn't bother me at all. With everyone so obsessed with protecting their camera in a pristine state, one forgets what a real used camera looks like. I think the patina adds character to the camera, and I will try to used it more and make it look more worn (not artificially, of course).
I will probably spend the next few weeks, or months, cradling the camera to get myself acquainted with it. Once the dust settles, I will post some of my initial settings and how I adjust to a fully manual rangefinder camera. Until then, you can bet that I will be posting some "camera pron" in the gallery of this sexy thang.
