We celebrated my father-in-law's 80th birthday this past weekend. He is also somewhat of a photography nut, and as you may remember, he just recently passed me the Rolleiflex SL66.
I really wanted to bring SL66 along with me so that I could try to capture an image of him, using his camera, in the first roll. But it was just too cumbersome to carry that brick around :P However, I still have one exposure left in the first roll, so maybe there is still a chance.
The trusty 50'Lux did its magic. However, the lighting was a bit dark, so I kept the lens wide-open all the time because I didn't want to sacrifice on the ISO side. That made it hard for me to pass the camera to someone else to take some shots... since the DOF is very shallow, it would be very easy for a non-RF shooter to misfocus. The whole set of the event can be viewed [HERE].
